NYPD: Chemical substance used to burn woman in Brooklyn subway station; suspect sought

The victim was treated at NYC Health & Hospitals/Jacobi in critical but stable condition with burns to the left side of the face.

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect wanted in connection to an assault in the Nostrand Avenue and Winthrop Street subway station.
The NYPD says a 21-year-old female was standing on the southbound platform when an “unidentified female individual began a verbal dispute with the victim.”
Police say the unidentified female followed the victim up the stairs “and then splashed an unknown chemical substance on the victim's face.”
The suspect fled on foot. The victim was treated at NYC Health & Hospitals/Jacobi in critical but stable condition with burns to the left side of the face.
The NYPD is looking for a female, about 20-30 years of age, with dark complexion and a medium build and black hair. They have released surveillance video and pictures of her.
