New Jersey prepares for remnants of Hurricane Wilma
New Jersey is preparing for remnants of Hurricane Wilma expected to hit sometime Monday. Emergency management officers in areas prone to flooding will be keeping an eye on the storm's path, especially at the Shore. They don?t expect flooding but say there could be two or three inches of rain. Officials are also concerned about power outages. With the soaking rain leaving tree roots weak, officials are worried they may come down on utility lines. The Monmouth County Emergency Management Department is urging residents to stay well informed of the storm?s activities.
