News 12 Connecticut's Suzanne Goldklang was driving to Stamford from Norwalk and said she could hear horns honking after the verdict was read.
An open mic was held in Jackie Robinson Park in Stamford to talk about the impact of violence when the verdict came down.
Some people there said this is a step in the right direction and a sign of hope.
The open mic was organized to honor homicide victim Max Antoine.
