A man has been convicted in two separate killings and could spend the rest of his life behind bars in Essex County.
Darneil Thomas, 26, of West Orange, was found guilty of two counts of first-degree murder.
Prosecutors say Thomas shot a man in the head in East Orange in March 2022.
Authorities say the next day, he went to a mechanic shop in Orange and shot and killed an employee.
Thomas is scheduled to be sentenced on the 29th.
