The days are getting shorter, the autumnal equinox is on Monday, but the forecast, however, is feeling like it doesn't want to let go of summer just yet.
The gloomy/showery weather will begin to dance away from the state later tonight. The winds will eventually become more favorable, and with more sun in the forecast tomorrow, temperatures will warm to the low 80s.
There doesn't seem to be any storms to track through the weekend. An offshore area of fair weather still influences our forecast for the favorable and leads us with sunny skies and seasonable, if not warmer than average temperatures, through the remainder of the work week. The weekend right now looks sunny but a touch cooler. Daily highs in the low to mid 70s.
