New Yorkers of all different religions came out to Food for Others Garden in the South Bronx Sunday for an interfaith day of service.
The nonprofit Green Box Machine brought together members from Central Synagogue, Riverside Church and other faith-based groups across the city to help with the community farm in Wakefield.
The group teaches children and families how to sustainably grow their own food.
Volunteers say it’s important that people of different religions work together to help those in need.
Green Box Machine has donated over 100,000 pounds of food since the start of the pandemic
