A drunk driver crashed a pickup truck into a Burger King, forcing the dining room to close in Bridgewater.

Police say the crash happened around 1:30 a.m. Sunday at the restaurant on Finderne Avenue.

Authorities identified the driver as 25-year-old Daniel Vega, of Manville. Police say Vega left the roadway and smashed through the wall of the building.

He was arrested and issued multiple summonses, including having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.

The restaurant has since been boarded up, with visible damage inside the dining area.

Signs on the door say indoor service is temporarily closed, with only the drive-thru open to customers.

According to the restaurant’s website, the dining room is expected to remain closed throughout the week

Despite the damage, police say no one was injured in the crash.
