‘Doorstep Dance Mart’ event in Dumbo combines dancing with health care
The door to get a COVID-19 test and the vaccine was wide open Saturday as Somos Community Care partnered with the Hip-Hop Dance Conservatory to hold an event complete with live music and other surprises.

Health was a big topic at Saturday’s “Doorstep Dance Mart” in Dumbo which had many giveaways and also many opportunities to walk away with the vaccine as COVID-19 cases continue to rise.
The event, while featuring many fun activities and prizes had an important mission: To give people the opportunity to overcome mistrust and hesitancy of the vaccine.
Organizers say they are planning to have similar events throughout the city on the last Saturday of every month.
