Bridgeport company invited by White House for ‘Made in America Showcase’
A company from Bridgeport will be representing the state at
the upcoming Made in America Showcase put on each year by the White House.
Amodex has been around since the 1950s and is in their
third generation of making stain removers in all different shapes and sizes.
The company says they were a little bit surprised when they
got the call from the White House.
"I mean the opportunity to represent the state...and
to be on that stage and part of something bigger – that’s what I see is a huge
movement to restoring manufacturing in the United States."
"I mean the opportunity to represent the state and
what we do here and all the ingenuity that comes out of our state and to be on
that stage and part of something bigger that's for me what I see is a huge
movement to restoring manufacturing in the United States,” says Beverlee Dacey, of Amodex.
A ceremony was supposed to be held at the White House this
past Monday, but was canceled. A new date has not yet been made available.
