Sunny start on Mother’s Day, but rain moves in later in the day on Long Island

Mother's Day will start off sunny, but clouds will increase in the afternoon.
Showers move in Sunday evening, turning into a steadier rain overnight into early Monday, News 12 meteorologists say.
Highs for Sunday will be around 58-62 degrees. Rain should hold off until past 4 p.m. Scattered showers are expected to develop between 4-6 p.m., then turning to a steadier rain later.
Rain will stick around for Monday's commute. Then it will dry up quickly with breezing conditions.
The rest of the work week is expected to be dry, with the exception of Friday, when there's a chance for showers to return.
