School safety group hears ideas for protecting students from shooters

School safety was the main topic of discussion at the state capitol.
Retired Enfield police Chief Carl Sferraza told lawmakers Connecticut needs a statewide policy on what types of doors, windows, locks, and cameras should be used.
He also suggested putting a security officer in every school.
The school security group is looking at possible new laws for next year's legislative session.
