? Long Branch police and school officials have a plan to prevent young people from joining gangs.
Starting next month, police and experts from the Monmouth County DA?s office will give weekly presentations at Long Branch High School and Middle School. Long Branch Superintendent of Schools Joe Ferraina says while gangs have not traditionally been a problem in the community, he is starting to see a change.
Officials and parents hope the program will go far.
