The equipment was distributed to VITAS healthcare facility on May 7. 

The donation, included 10,700 face shields, N95 masks, ear-loop masks, gowns, and gloves. 

Rod Khattabi of Grace Farms Foundation says the foundation wanted to fill the void in lack of available PPE.

"We're looking at who needs the most? Who is in need of PPE?" 

The foundation also donated 6,000 disposable masks to Norwalk city employees in honor of former city clerk Mary Roman who died of COVID-19.  

The foundation has donated 1.3 million pieces of PPE to healthcare workers and frontline workers around the state.
