A Goshen man was assaulted in the parking lot of the Wallkill Walmart on Tuesday.

Police say they arrived on the scene at Route 211 East to find the 25-year-old man with a laceration to his hand.

They say the victim got into an altercation with a man named Dens Cine, from Wallkill, who was subsequently arrested and now faces a charge of attempted assault.

Cine is due back in court Feb. 15.
