Brookhaven Memorial Hospital changes name to LI Medical Center

Officials say Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center will change its name to Long Island Medical Center.
They say it's the only independent hospital left on Long Island.
The Long Island Medical Center boasts its new Knapp Cardiac Care Center in Patchogue.
The hospital first opened in 1956.
