It’s squashing time! Spotted lanternfly season is approaching

Here are some tips from the state on what to do if spotted lanternflies swarm in your backyard.

It's just about that time of year to get ready to start stomping on spotted lanternflies.
The insects usually return in May. By July, they'll start to reach adult stage.
Spotted lanternflies are native to China. They were found near the New Jersey area in 2014 in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
If spotted lanternflies swarm in your backyard, the state recommends scraping new eggs off trees, removing the plant or tree with the bugs and using insecticides.
