Person struck, injured by NJ Transit train near Plauderville Station

NJ Transit says a train not in service that was being moved along the Bergen County Line, struck and injured a pedestrian just west of Plauderville Station.

Person struck, injured by NJ Transit train near Plauderville Station
A person was hit by a train Wednesday morning, NJ Transit confirmed.
NJ Transit says the train was not in service at the time and was being moved along the Bergen County Line. The train struck and injured a pedestrian just west of Plauderville Station in Garfield around 5:30 a.m.
The extent of the person's injuries was not known.
NJ Transit says there were no customers on board and no other injuries were reported to the crew.
NJ Transit police are leading the investigation.
