The Women of Color Leadership Empowerment conference was held in Kenilworth Monday.

Color Magazine teamed up with NJBIZ to bring the annual conference to the tristate area. The event was hosted by Merck.

"It's really important to feel like you're part of a bigger group…That there are other women that are experiencing similar things as you,” says Color Magazine president Josefina Bonilla. “What better way to find a place where you can talk about those things?”

The conference is geared to affect the future of diverse professionals through interactive programs and speakers offering a unique perspective.
