Women in the Hudson County re-entry program are getting the chance to support themselves while also helping other women overseas.

The women all make jewelry that is then sold at the Same Sky kiosk that recently opened at Newark Liberty International Airport. The women were all in prison at one time and are now trying to find their places in society.

Francine LeFrak founded this program to help women in the United States and Africa get back on their feet.

Same Sky was started to help HIV-positive women in Rwanda who had no means of supporting themselves... because I believe employment is the best philanthropy," LeFrak says. "The program was so successful in Rwanda that we started making jewelry in Hudson County."

The women in the program say that they are delighted that they can help the women in Rwanda.

The kiosk, located in Terminal B at the airport, will be open through Dec. 31.
