A Red Bank woman had to be helped out of her home after heavy snow caused a tree to fall on top of it.
The tree fell on the Wesleyan Street home around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. A major snowstorm caused many trees and utility poles to fall around the state.
The tree on Wesleyan Street sliced through the home’s hallway and bedroom. Neighbor Brian Lynch says that he first thought the crashing sound was thunder. He says that his wife saw the tree actually fall on the home.
“It was a significant hit from that tree,” Lynch says.
Lynch says that he often worried about trees falling on homes in his neighborhood. He says that many of them are about 100 feet tall.
