Hundreds of West Milford High School students walked out of class Tuesday to rally in support of a teacher in jeopardy of losing her job.The students expressed their support of Cheryl Bachmann, who faces possible dismissal following the handling of two incidents involving her students. In both incidents, Bachmann asked students to leave the classroom after making derogatory statements about homosexuals. Bachmann says both disciplinary actions were met with resistance. She says a male student threw a piece of gum foil at her head after being removed. The other student, a female, threatened that she was going to stab Bachmann.Administrators met Tuesday evening to determine Bachmann?s fate. Some students attended the school board meeting to show support for Bachmann and save her job.
