Harvey Weinstein's arrest in New York is giving hope to survivors of sexual abuse.

The dozens of sexual misconduct allegations against Weinstein sparked the #MeToo movement.
The Safe Center in Bethpage fields thousands of rape and sexual assault calls a year. Officials say they saw an increase in victims seeking help after the #MeToo movement started.
Elizabeth Osowiecki, a rape crisis counselor and sexual assault survivor, says Weinstein's arrest is a victory for people who have suffered sexual abuse.
“I see that we are experiencing a cultural shift of people being held accountable for their actions - which wasn’t seen before,” says Osowiecki.

The Safe Center says it hopes now more victims will come forward and seek help.
