Waterfront weddings at Spring Lake will be banned starting Nov. 1. 

No reservations or permits are needed for two gazebos on the beach, but officials say some of the weddings are getting too large and that people backing up onto the boardwalk has become a hassle.

Officials are telling local venues, officiants and others involved to let couples know that they cannot hold a wedding on the Spring Lake beach.
