Some vacationers say they'll stick to land following the cruise ship tragedy off the coast of Italy.

Cecilia Davis of Red Bank tells News 12 New Jersey, "If I ever thought about going on a cruise, that just blew it for me, [I'm] not really interested in going on a cruise." Davis says the images of panicked passengers and the cruise ship sinking on its side terrified her.

Meanwhile, reports are coming in from various sources in the cruise ship industry that it's preparing for a knee-jerk reaction from customers. A dip in "sales at sea" is expected, at least in the short term.

However, Beverly Stenger, of New Horizons Travel in Middletown, says, "Nobody has called me to cancel their cruises that are already booked, and I see just the same amount of business coming in." She says she wants to remind people that cruising is safer than driving or flying.
