State troopers hope their increased visibility on the Turnpike this Memorial Day will help bring about a "tragedy-free" holiday weekend.
"We plan on having additional patrols out," says Sgt. Eric Heitmann. "Supplemental patrols that will be particularly interested in aggressive drivers, intoxicated drivers, unrestrained drivers and drowsy drivers."
Motorists are being told to remember fines for moving violations are doubled in areas where the posted speed limit is 65 mph.
