The family and friends of Jennifer Dulos issued a new statement Friday as the search for the missing New Canaan mother hit the four-week mark.
The investigation into Dulos' whereabouts has captured global attention and led to searches in two states and five communities. Though 25 to 30 investigators are working the case daily, there is still no sign of the mother of five.
"This situation is real, and it is dire," the statement reads. "Each passing day intensifies the impact of this tragedy on Jennifer's children, who have not seen their mother - the guiding presence in their lives - in 28 days."
The statement thanks state police and the New Canaan department for "working around the clock to find Jennifer." It also implores the public to call the New Canaan police tip line at 203-594-3544 or email FindJenniferDulos@newcanaanct.gov if they have any information about her disappearance.

Dulos was last seen dropping off her five children at school on May 24. Friends reported her missing that evening, sending police to her home. A search inside turned up multiple blood stains on the garage floor, areas of blood spatter and evidence someone tried to clean up a crime scene. Investigators determined a serious physical assault occurred and that Dulos was the victim. Police found her car abandoned about 3 miles from the house near Waveny Park. That same night, police say security cameras show her estranged husband, Fotis Dulos, tossing bags into various trash cans along a 4-mile stretch in Hartford. Detectives later recovered some of the items, which tested positive for Jennifer's blood.
Fotis Dulos and his girlfriend, Michelle Troconis, have been charged with tampering with evidence and hindering prosecution in connection with her disappearance. Police say more charges are likely. In court, the state's attorney revealed investigators found Fotis Dulos' DNA mixed with his wife's blood on the kitchen faucet. For the past few weeks, investigators have focused on a trash facility in Hartford. Police say that search will conclude in the near future.
Fotis and Jennifer Dulos were involved in a bitter divorce for the past two years. Jennifer Dulos wrote in one motion, "I am afraid of my husband. I know that filing for divorce and filing this motion will enrage him. I know he will retaliate by trying to harm me in some way."
The couple's five children are currently staying with their maternal grandmother, Gloria Farber. Farber has filed for custody but the judge hasn't issued a ruling yet.
