The Hackensack Fire Department shared images on Facebook showing a gray Tesla SUV in the basement of a home on River Road.
Hackensack firefighters provided mutual aid and installed a temporary shoring in the basement so the vehicle could be safely removed. First responders extricated the driver. The driver was taken to the hospital.
An investigation is still underway. There is no word yet on injuries or what caused the crash.
