Tropicana Orange Juice is
apologizing for its advertisement suggesting mimosas are the answer to pandemic
parenting.
The new ad campaign, which
has been shut down, targeted stressed out parents encouraging them to TakeAMimoment
for themselves. The campaign
targeted the parents who've been home with their kids throughout the quarantine.
While some people loved the
ad, some commenters were offended, pointing out drinking in secret is probably
not the best way to cope with the pandemic.
The ad was found to be
offensive by many social media users, including a sobriety group – and a
firestorm of negative comments ensued.
