Suffolk police say a man in Lindenhurst died after falling into a canal.

Don Seddio, 65, fell into the canal behind 990 Pacific Street at around 10 p.m. Friday night, according to Suffolk homicide detectives.

Police pulled him out of the water and transported him to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip, where he was pronounced dead.

Detectives also say that he may have suffered a medical issue.
