A child is dead and four other individuals are injured following a crash on the New Jersey Turnpike, officials say.

The incident happened just after 11 p.m. Friday when an Amazon Prime tractor-trailer, which was apparently speeding, collided with the back of a car near Cranbury Township.

All four people inside the car, including two young children, were trapped inside. A crane had to remove the tractor-trailer from the car to get them out.

A 1-year-old died and a 3-year-old suffered serious injuries.
