Live music has returned to New Jersey with a drive-in concert in Morris County.
Musician John Ginty – a rock 'n’ roll keyboardist whose international tour was postponed by the coronavirus – performed at the concert at Fosterfields Farm.
“We’ve been in quarantine and everybody is trying to get out and get some air,” says musician Marcus Randolph.
The audience was able to enjoy live music in and around their vehicles. The parking spots were measured for social distancing between vehicles, with additional space added so individuals could get out of their vehicle to watch the show while still remaining distant.
The concert was produced by the Mayo Performing Arts Center in Morristown. It was a fundraiser for the theater, which has been closed since March. Organizers say that it was a chance to bring the community together for fresh air and music.
