Tashmoo Bar & Restaurant in Morristown was shut down by police Friday night after they said it wasn’t following COVID-19 guidelines.
Images on social media showed that the beer garden was packed with patrons who were not social distancing or wearing masks.
Elected leaders in Morristown have put new guidelines in place in an effort to prevent a spike in virus cases. They include:
  • Customers should be sitting at socially distant tables.
  • No self-service of alcohol is permitted
  • Capacity for any outdoor dining area is limited to no more than indoor capacity.

There was no word on when Tashmoo would reopen. News 12 reached out to the restaurant, but they declined to comment.
The town is also reminding all businesses that staff are required to wear masks and people waiting to be seated must follow social distancing guidelines.
