Gov. Phil Murphy has signed an executive order to allow bars and restaurants to offer outdoor dining starting on June 15.
Tables must be at least 6 feet apart and sanitization and other safety protocols must be followed.
The governor also announced recommendations to address challenges in long-term care facilities to lessen the impact of COVID-19. These recommendations are designed to reduce the effects of future outbreaks.
The statewide total number of coronavirus cases in New Jersey now stands at 162,068, after 652 new cases of the virus were confirmed Wednesday. The governor also announced 112 additional deaths, bringing the statewide death toll to 11,880.
