Ocean County coronavirus testing center scales back hours due to lack of people getting tested

An Ocean County COVID-19 testing site has scaled back on its hours due to a lack of people getting tested.
The site at Ocean County College in Toms River opened on March 30. Officials say that there are still plenty of testing kits, but that not enough people are coming to get tested.

The new hours for the site will be Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m until 1 p.m. It is by appointment only. Patients will also still need a prescription from health officials and must show symptoms.
Around 7,500 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Ocean County as of Sunday. There have been 547 deaths. Officials did not have specific numbers for recoveries in the county.
