A Camden County man has made it his mission to protect COVID-19 front-line workers.
Voorhees realtor Nikki Shah has raised almost $100,000 to buy masks.
“My motto is, ‘Taking care of you is my business,’” Shah says. “The first dream was $10,000. The next budget was almost $25,000 and then the goal was $50,000.”
Shah and his team raised $92,000 in just two weeks to donate more than 101,000 masks to first responders, health care workers and others on the front lines.
“Every afternoon at 4 p.m. I would have all the orders labeled. I would hand it to my mom and my wife who would start bagging them,” he says.
Shah says that he was shocked when he heard how short some of these departments were on PPE.

“First responders should be the first ones to have PPE equipment, so I was heartbroken that our first responders had to go through what they did,” he says.
Shah says that he is grateful for all who donated and volunteered their time to help with the project.
“I honestly never dreamt of it. I was in tears the last day," he says.
Shah’s donations were sent to crews in Berlin Borough, Cherry Hill and Haddon Township to name a few. The donations were also sent out of state to Connecticut, Delaware, North Carolina and even Arizona.
