Facebook group helps musicians earn a living; attracting artists around the globe

A music fan in New Jersey is helping musicians earn a living with clubs shut down by creating a Facebook group for their musical performances.

The group called Busking Down The House has racked up more than 21,000 members in just two weeks.
Musicians are able to stream live or post-recorded performances. Members are also able to tip artists through PayPal or Venmo.

The group started locally, but is now attracting artists around the globe.
"West Coast, Denver, LA, Texas, we have people in Ireland and Canada, Thailand," says Catherine Sisco, who is with the group.

The page's organizer says after things get back to normal, she might turn Busking Down The House into a nonprofit with charity performances.
