Health officials confirm first positive COVID-19 case in Atlantic County

Health officials in Atlantic County say a man in his 60s with underlying health conditions has tested positive for COVID-19, the first confirmed case in the county.

A commercial lab confirmed the positive test results Tuesday night.

According to health officials, the patient is currently being treated at home while officials conduct further investigations.

Health officials say direct contacts will be notified and asked to self-quarantine for 14 days.
