Teaneck officials issued an executive order to urge residents to stay inside in order to help prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Teaneck has at least 18 confirmed cases of coronavirus. As a result, officials are requiring town employees to follow all local and state protocols. This includes canceling any nonessential business travel.

Officials are also requesting residents to work from home and stay indoors if possible.

Elderly members of the community are encouraged to stay home and avoid crowded places.
