At least two cars caught fire on the Garden State Parkway causing delays during the Thursday evening commute.

Authorities say that two cars collided in the northbound lanes in Irvington Thursday afternoon. No one was hurt, but the cars burst into bright, orange flames.

The situation caused traffic to slow from the Union toll plaza. The lanes were closed while New Jersey state troopers put out the fire.

The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
