Former Oceanside resident, Disney CEO Bob Iger steps down

The Oceanside native will now serve as executive chairman through the end of 2021.

The Walt Disney Company's longtime leader, Bob Iger, has stepped down.
Iger stepped down Tuesday as the company's CEO.
The Oceanside native will now serve as executive chairman through the end of 2021.
Iger said now is the right time for Disney to transition to a new CEO.
Bob Chapek will take over for Iger effective immediately. He most recently served as chairman of Disney Parks, experiences and products.
