Gov. Murphy to undergo surgery to remove tumor on kidney

Gov. Phil Murphy will undergo a partial nephrectomy in early March to remove a tumor on his left kidney, he confirmed Saturday night on Twitter.
The 62-year-old governor posted that his prognosis was “very good” and he is “grateful to my doctors for detecting the tumor early.”
“I’m far from alone here,” the governor tweeted. “It’s a situation that far too many families find themselves in. That’s why we’re fighting for them each and every day.”
Gov. Murphy will be on News 12 on Monday for Ask Governor Murphy, which will air at 5 p.m.
