Authorities: 2 newborns found dead at New Brunswick recycling center

Authorities are awaiting autopsy results after police recovered the bodies of two newborns from a recycling center in Middlesex County.

Police responded to the Colgate Recycling Facility on Industrial Drive in New Brunswick and found the first child Wednesday morning.

They recovered the second body about six hours later.

County prosecutors and New Brunswick police did not release any more details about the newborns or their identities.

Authorities say the investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to call New Brunswick police at 732-745-5200 or the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office at 732-745-3300.
