The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office says a man has been arrested after allegedly performing an ‘indecent act’ in the presence of a minor student while on school property.

The incident happened back on Jan. 2020.

According to the prosecutor’s office, Joshua Eckersley, 33, of Berkeley Township, is a teacher in the Central Regional School District. He is charged with endangering the welfare of a child and lewdness.

The prosecutor’s office says the investigation was initiated after the minor victim disclosed the incident to authorities.
