Authorities: Wrong-way crash on Route 70 leaves 3 drivers hospitalized
Authorities say a driver traveling the wrong way on an Ocean County highway caused a head-on crash that left three people hospitalized.
Brick Township police say the crash on Route 70 occurred early Monday when a car traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes collided head-on with an SUV. The impact caused the SUV to rotate and collide with another SUV.

Emergency responders extricated one driver from his car. He and the two other drivers were being treated at hospitals for injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
Parts of Route 70 were closed for a time during the investigation but have since reopened.
No charges have been filed. But authorities say that the crash remains under investigation.
The Associated Press wire services contributed to this report.
