1st round of weekend repairs causes disruptions on L train

Anyone trying to get to a stop between Broadway Junction and Lorimer Street has to take a bus due to service disruptions on the L train line.
This is one of three weekend where riders will experience service outages.
Last week, the MTA announced it made improvements to its work plans to reduce the amount of weekends that service would be down. Originally, riders were going to have to deal with no train service during six weekends.
The next outage is scheduled for the weekend of Feb. 14 and will include President's Day. The third and final weekend riders can expect an outage will be March 20.
The outages will allow workers to make repairs and complete equipment installations at several stations.
Shuttle buses are available. One route goes from Broadway Junction to Myrtle and the second route is from Myrtle to Lorimer. The free buses make all of the stops the train makes.
