Posted: Updated:

A plane went off of a runway Saturday at Morristown Airport, prompting officials to temporarily close the airport.

The airport first announced the closure in a tweet Saturday afternoon around 12:30 p.m.

It said that a King Air aircraft went off the end of Runway 5 into runway safety area.

The airport said that Morristown police reported no injuries to the plane's crew or passengers. It's unclear how many people were on board.

The airport has since reopened, according to its Twitter account.
