Officials, including Paterson Animal Control and the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge, are seeking donations to help a sick dog found dying last night, but this morning, is fighting to live.

The dog named Reese is currently at the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge, but almost didn't make it through the night. She is a frail 17 pounds.

According to officials, the dog was not kept warm and not given food.

Officials say she is improving, but is incredibly weak and still has a long way to recovery.

The refuge is asking for support for her medical care as she continues to fight.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Paterson Animal Control at 973-321-1111.
