Firefighters rescued a deer that was trapped on a frozen pond in Middlesex County.
South Brunswick police say that first responders got the call Thursday morning about a deer trapped on the pond in front of the Dow Jones building off of Route 1.
Firefighters from the Plainsboro and Kingston fire departments went out onto the ice with ropes so that they could bring the deer back to safety.
The firefighters pulled the deer back to land and it was able to go on its way.
    No one was hurt.
