Popular Bergen County hot dog truck to shut down after 40 years

A popular Bergen County hot dog vendor will retire after 40 years in business.
Mark Butler opened Mark’s Hot Dog Truck in Bergenfield in 1980, and it quickly became a popular lunch spot for Bergen County residents.
Butler says that while he is looking forward to spending more time with friends and family, he will miss his customers and the friends he made while in business.
“Met a lot of people over this time. I know I’m going to miss the people,” he says.
Butler says that since he announced his retirement, people have been lining up to try his hot dogs.
“I was taken aback…I guess I must have touched them,” he says.
The last day of business for Mark’s Hot Dog Truck will be Dec. 31.
