Posted: Updated:

Three Jersey City police officers received minor injuries while struggling with a suspect they were trying to arrest, according to officials.

A Jersey City spokesperson says that police were responding to reports of possible drug activity near Rutgers and McAdoo avenues. When police arrived, they found 32-year-old Jamel Bolden who allegedly took out a gun and fired it.

Authorities say that Bolden was placed under arrest after a brief struggle.

He is expected to be charged with resisting arrest among other charges.

The officers are all expected to be OK.
